Sandra’s Pasta Sauce

Sandra’s Pasta Sauce

Saute in frying pan the following ingredients:

  • 2 large or 4 small portobella mushrooms and scrape the black gills with a spoon(discard black gills) from the underside of the mushroom & then dice remaining mushroom
  • 1/2 large red pepper – diced
  • 1/2 large bell pepper (or just 1 large bell pepper) – diced
  • 6 cloves garlic crushed or diced (healing properties)
  • 2 tablespoons Italian seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons Basil-or fresh basil if available
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1 lb grass fed ground beef, or lean turkey-optional

I saute the above ingredients for 20 minutes in a large frying pan and then add the following into a large pot:

  • 1 – 16 oz. can organic tomatoes
  • 1 quart bottle of organic pasta sauce
  • 3/4 to 1 cup filtered water
  • 1-2 tbs organic or natural sugar to taste (will tame down the acid)

add the saute ingredients above into the pot and simmer for 45 minutes. Then serve with your favorite pasta!

(try brown rice pasta but please follow instructions on package because if overcooked it will be mushy)

Enjoy!
